Lé BackPack Journal: The Mysterious Kellie's Castle

You could have a hundred of love stories in this world, but is only few of them are really touching your heart. I believed that people must been familiar with the love story of Taj Mahal which was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. By working under the same logic, Kellie's Castle was built as well.

This unfinished, ruined mansion was build by a Scottish man named William Kellie Smith who came to Malaya at the age of 20s during 1890. Kellie's Castle or sometimes is been calling Kellie's Folly is located at Batu Gajah which is around 20 minutes from Ipoh, Perak. This castle is believed built as either the gift for his wife, Agnes or a home for his only son, Anthony.

Good things never go that smoothly. Tragedies was happened soon after the construction of Smith's dream castle began. Smith was dead after his wife, and the undone castle was left in the memories of the times. Today, Kellie's Castle have been a popular local tourist spot. Though the castle couldn't been completed, the love story had been linked together with it. People will not forget this legend story as long as the castle still there.

I wish to get that kind of love story in my life too. Not much commitment, luxury jewelry, but and only an unforgettable love journey with my only HIM.
